The short answer is, yes you can. However, any room that is to be used for sleeping (ie: bedrooms) must have a means of "egress" (exit) and "ingress" (entry) in case of fire. The regulations are spelled out in the model building codes. If you choose to forego windows in bedrooms, you will have to provide doors to the exterior of the building.

Good luck with your building project.

I'd have to say it depends on a few factors. Is the roof blacked in yet? some contractors install windows after the roof felt is installed. Are you expecting alot of snow/rain if so you may want the windows installed to protect to interior of the building. Are the roofers careful? sloppy workers and accidents can damage expensive windows which in turn would need to be reordered and would hold up other trades from completing there work. The windows warranty? Alittle common sense will guide you. Merry Christmas.

no. it is called egress. in case of an emergancy you have to be able to get out of the house. all bedrooms, livingrooms, and kitchens are required to have windows. i am not a 100% sure about bathrooms. there is a minimum window size that should be about 3 feet by 3 feet.

In Florida you can't due to fire codes. You would need to check with your local building inspector. Here we have to have an escape route in every bedroom, you might get by with doors in each bedroom. I don't know if that would look very nice.

It's called a storage shed or garage; however in our city, the garage door needs to be vented. It would not meet building codes for human habitation.

You could build it but you would never get a certificate of occupancy. Fails code in all states.

You can build whatever you like if you have the right permit.

Might not be much fun to live in but.
