You will find diverse reasons for why people tattoo their skin. I believe in the world we live today; a nice small heart or flower or butterfly any of those in a pretty color would be nice, for me it would be an expression of what I think and yes feel sometimes. the heart for Love, the Flower for beauty, the butterfly for freedom, and yes maybe a small cross to remind me that I was bought with a price. Jesus Christ died on the cross was buried and raised from the dead for our salvation and so we may once again have a relationship with God. Those are just a few of the reasons I would get a tattoo, there are over 300,000,000 people somewhere and they probably would all have a different reason. We are all unique and different and we all have a different purpose > save one? That is to tell people what Jesus Christ did for them on the cross "The precious blood of Jesus Christ".

I have always wanted a tatoo, but was too chicken. Now I can't get one because I'm too old , (37) My kids would freak! I do think they are cool though. Who knows, maybe I'll get a wild hair one of these days and just go for it.

I would suppose some folks do it because its cool or because everyone else is. but i myself have several for a different reason. I think theyre beatiful. They are all my own artwork and i think its just another art form. i get them to show people that tattoos dont mean what they used to and they should be more widely accepted in our modern culture.

I can only guess, since I don't have a tattoo. Maybe they are trying to be set apart from the crowd and prove their individuality.

I got my 1st one this last year, I have always wanted one but to chicken. My father passed away and I wanted something to help me heal after his death so I got one with his name on it ,I never thought twice about it now when I need to remember him I just look at my arm.

Some want to be a part of what they think is the "in crowd". I wouldn't want to submit myself to having a tiny needle if there's no need for it. Have plenty of needles at the dentist, and don't need or what any more!

everyone has their own reason which today tends to be because they thought it was cool or because everyone else was doing it or because they wanted to piss off their parents... (if i ever got a tattoo tho it wouldnt be for those reasons... i would make sure it had real meaning before i permanently marked my body)
