on sat. we fed them snails and now one of his eyes is as big as a marble and looks like it is about to fall off. please tell us if there is anything we can do for him. Ps we aslo have pecossamus in the same tank.

yes it is "popeye" or "bulge" you have to keep your water pristine do frequent small water changes and get some neds from your local pet store how often do you change your water and what are the parameters?

I don't think the snails had anything to do with the eye problem. Most likely it is a disease called popeye. It can be fatal if not treated. If you caught it in time you can medicate and cure it but he will probably lose the sight in that eye.
Get to the pet store ASAP and get the proper meds for popeye and follow directions very carefully and to the letter. You may have to remove the "plecostomus."
