x - 2y = 8
3x - 2y = 12

Multiply top by -1

-x + 2y = -8
3x - 2y = 12

2x = 4
x = 2

x - 2y = 8
2 - 2y = 8
-2y = 6
y = -3

ANS : (2,-3)

x=2y+8,
so
3(2y+8)-2y=12
6y +24 -2y =12
4y=-12
y= -3
and x=2(-3) +8=2

so the point of intersection is (2,-3)
