I was wondering when the stomach begins to harden while pregnant? I am 16wks and it is firmer than it would be if i was just fat! hehehe - but when does it start to harden even more?

personally, for me, true firmness came around the middle of the 2nd trimester. and that is a very fun part of pregnancy. just remember your coco butter, etc. stay moisturized!!!! trust me on that one!

I dont know. Im pregnant with my 4th baby and Ive never really had a hard stomach. It was really hard when I would have any type of contractions, but that was about it. I mean your stomach gets a little firm from the baby being right there and that is what you are feeling that is hard. But it doesnt harden. Mine sometimes feels a little firm(im 17 weeks, but it usually feels that way if Im bloated.

I guess everybody is different cause my tummy didn't start to get firmer until later in my pregnancy I am 36 weeks. Your tummy should get hard when you have contractions. I m sure you are just bloated it is very common early in pregnancy. good luck to you

each month your stomach gets firmer and firmer as the baby is growing...wait till the last month it will be really firm and tight.

As your uterus grows. The reason its firm is because that is what is protecting your unborn child.
