I'm looking for a reason to get up in the morning, life is pretty good I'm happy w/ life and all that but I'm interested in what drives you through the day (not religion) and inspires you to be the best you can be?

How about this: My own life. Life is worth living just to live it for yourself. If you don't put yourself first, then who are you to yourself? I live life everyday for me, I do what I love to do and constantly work to be a better person. I find happiness in myself and confidence in my drive.
It's nice to say "I live for so-and-so. I wake up for him/her and this and that." But in reality, it isn't a good thing. What if that person died, broke up with you, or divorced you for no reason at all? What if it all ends one day and you're left in the dust? All you really have in this world is yourself, when you have lost it all, you still have you. You need you more than anything. You, in reality, is what gives you confidence. You strive for happiness and drive for pleasure. You are your ultimate guiding force, and confidence in this makes you invincible.

My kids, but before i had kids it was the existence of possibility. The fact that you know never know what could happen. One day you could have nothing than suddenly bam you might the person of your dreams. Also knowing that the things i do affect so many others in ways i never anticipate. For example, years i go in this bar i frequented, there was a guy who came in all the time. He was obviously coming form work as his clothes were stained and he was generally filthy. ( he worked on the rigs). Well after months of saying hi we ended up talking and he told me he had a hard time talking to girls and didn't think they would never be interested him. He thought no girl would be interested in any thing he has to say. I told him to talk to girls the same way he talks to guys and any one who didn't respect him didn't matter, and that a shower before going out might not hurt. Well point o the story, i seen him 6 months later dancing with this hot chick, he was clean shaven, dressed to the nines and looked smokin. Well he grabbed me hugged and said i changed his life that night. Just remembering that reminds that i am important and that there is a reason I'm here even if i don't see it everyday.

What is the difference in life's outlook between you and someone you admire? They have a cause, and you don't! The purpose of life is to find out what we a passionate about and do it. Good luck! Just be careful not to fall into the trap of saying " if only I had something, i would do it". Life is an obstacle course, and excuses are just ways of being lazy.

Hope for a better future, and the knowledge that I have the power to affect my life, and the lives of others. It could be something as simple as holding a door for someone, or encouraging somebody who needs it. Trust me, I'm not perfect, but I am making an effort.

its all leading to one point----feeling good about oneself
when we wake up in the morning to do the best we can or even stuff we dont like to do, its because it will result in a sort of satisfaction, to make us happy at the end.
think about it u will find that everything u do, is to make u happy at the end, even after a long time.
and the stuff u do for someone else, will also result in a praise, reward or even inner satisfaction for doing something good.

You need a personal goal in life. Then you won't have any problems getting up in the morning. Something you believe in, that you can accomplish. Good luck.

I sufer from mild depression. So getting up in the morning can be a bit of a struggle for me. I get up so I can make breakfast for my wife, our son, and our dog. I get up, so I can take my son to school, my wife to work. I get up so I can go to a great job with lots of friends. I get up so I can make money so every Saturday I can take my wife, our son, my wife's sister, and HER two kids to the movies. I get up so once every 3 months I can take my wife, our son, my wife's sister, and HER two kids on a 1-3 day vacation, preferably to Disney or Universal in Orlando.

No wonder I am so tired all the time! I keep getting up for everyone!! THANK GOD they all love me so much!
