If you choose friends and family, history will record you as nothing, but you will die happily surrounded by everyone who loves you.... But if you choose world domination, history will record you as the one- while others have failed- who have conquered the world, but you will die alone and lonely....

Dilemma? It is!

By today’s standards to gain the whole world you would have to not only compromise any morals you have but you have to take the world by force. Just as Alexander the Great found out, he conquered most of the know world and did not die alone. He was surrounded by his enemies and most of the people he loved were killed in battle, by his own hand, or by his enemies. I could not do what would be required to take the world by force. Even if I could I would not. I would rather die surrounded by loved ones then to be remembered in history. After all even you die a nobody your loved ones will always remember you and carry your name through history.

"Nothing" is relevant here. Who cares what people think of you after you have gone? How you spend your time here on earth is much more important. Anyone who has love of family and friends has not a wasted life. Think of those who were dominated by Hitler. The survivors spent years looking for family and friends. Does that tell you anything?

Honestly I find myself with those two choices in life as well. Not the whole world, but much power in the most important country. Honestly I think in a way you can have both, just not as much as you could. All things are possible, especially when using leverage.

Not quite...family and friends come first. What is the point of ruling the world if you can't share it with anyone but yourself?

Family and Friends are most important to me, sadly they are mostly unavailable.

ARE YOU SAYING YOU'RE GOING TO CONQUER THE WORLD!? NO IT'S GOING TO BE ME!
But after you conquer the world (which you aren't because it's going to be ME) you can be with your family all the time :D. And hey, they can help you conquer the world! (BUT YOU WILL FAIL BECAUSE IM MEANT TO DO IT!)
