(this is my last question for tonight) (I think it is a dam..about 80miles by 80miles at the edge of the polar ice cap)

It's anomalous alright, just like those peculiar rings at the Martian south pole. I'm not certain anyone's come up with a terribly likely explanation for them.

However, it's not a good idea to assume that the most probable explanation is that they're purposeful structures designed by intelligent life, like giant dam-building Martian Spacebeavers. Don't let your hopes cloud your expectations.

I havent seent he pictures yet but they could simply be geothermic anomolies. The alleged face on mars turned out to be just an unusual mountain (for all intents and purposes) so it is highly unlikely that they are structures. Unfortunately, humans like to see paterns where there arent any, just like the constellations.
