One of my friends has gotten 3 speeding tickets and is wondering if their license will get taken away or not.I've heard they wont as long as they don't have 12 points on their license?Any answers?

They live in Tennessee
and they are responsible...they have reasons for them all...health reasons...hospital reasons but have forgotten to turn on the emergency lights...thank you very much..if that helps any please let me know asap

He's very careful and responsible...
what do you think the chances are in him being able to take the driving class..?They said he may be able to

They will get their license suspended once they get 12 points on it. I believe that a speeding fine carries 3 normally (but that is in the UK - in the States it may depend on the State). Your friend needs to be a bit more responsible!

It would depend on the state, but ultimately it is the Department of Motor Vehicles that revokes or suspends your license. Even with a DUI it is up to the state, not the judge. Of course, your friends insurance will raise dramatically unless they can go to classes. Each state is also different on that...as to how many and what types are included in washing it out. The friend needs to stop and smell the roses, regardless of the reason for speeding. Is he/she going to get there any faster if they are stopped in the process or end up in an accident or dead because of thier driving habits???

In Illinois it is gone if you get 3 moving violations in 1 year

If they don't pay..The license will go away...Slow down!!!! Limits save lives..All limits...Not just speed..Good luck.
