Spain, and Portugal both colonized Latin America. Spain, and Portugal both changed the type of civilizations the natives were use to. Spain took over the Aztecs in 1519, and the Incans in 1534. They changed the whole Continent into a colony to support their wars in Europe.
They brought to Latin America a new religion, foods, animals, plants, and diseases.
You should narrow the topic a little, there would be too much information to write down.

Spain and Portugal. That's why Portugese is spoken in Brazil and Spanish is spoken in most south American countries. Their explorers founded new lands and Europeans colonized them... same as America.

The two countries were Spain & portugal. they introduced their languages, their Catholic religion, & music, clothes, social customs, attitudes, etc.etc. The white Iberians were the same as the WASPs of North America. They were the ruling elite of those lands.
