In our area we also have a perosn with a horse trailer that comes pick up our trash. Rual TN, they do not offer county trash pick up so we have to hire a private contractor. Most people in the area haul thier own trash bags to county dump centers.

But in general the trash goes to a large land fill. There they dump but normally bull doze the items into a hole or onto a mound on a regular basis.
so if it happened today if you call the people who pick up your trash, and ask them, they may tell you what landfill they use, But I doubt if the land fill people will allow you ( because of safety) to go into the landfill and look aroiund

Sorry, but its gone. Once they drop the load at the dump its bulldozed into the larger pile almost immediately. Last year they knew a body had been dumped and it took three weeks of searching to find it,

A trailor, you say? Perhaps a trash-picker. :( Not fun when you throw something away and it's picked up by trash-pickers. Sorry, but if a non-commercial person picked it up, I don't think you'll get it back.

Sorry!
