Is someone who plays the flute called a FLUTIST or FLOUTIST??

Just wanna know which is correct..Have heard both..

"Flautist" and "flutist" are both fine.

But there's no such thing as a "floutist".

it's either. i prefer flutist, but some prefer floutist! most computers recognize flutist though.
