I use a brush from Lancome. I put a small amount on the top of my hand, and I "dip" my brush in the foundation and apply to my face. I use Lancome Brush #2 for my main foundation and Lancome Concealer Brush #8 for under my eyes.
Check out this link to see all the types of brushes they have:

Foundation is easy to apply if it is done correctly. Firstly, ensure you have the correct colour. Match the colour with a patch of your skin simular to the colour of your face.
Foundation is most easily applied with a sponge. You can buy baby sponges from the chemist or supermarket. They come in all shapes and sizes.
Place a small teaspoon of the foundation onto your face in five areas. Your forhead, nose, both cheeks and the chin. Use the sponge to create tiny circles to smooth it out. Always spread the foundation with the sponge by moving in an outward motion. You have to ensure you are doing this at a moderate speed so that the foundation doesnt dry in a hurry.
Once the foundation is easily applied i recommend that you use a powder foundation over the top. This will maintain the colour and make it long lasting so it doesnt rub off.
Usually when you buy a powder foundation it comes w ith a brush or a fury sponge. All you have to do is place a little powder on the end of the brush or on the fury spunge and wipe it over your face. Once again It is a better effect and looks more natural if u purchase a powder foundation in your skin colour.
Hope this helps!

It depends on the foundation, if it comes with a sponge you can always just spread it around with that thing. If you have a liquid, try using your middle or ring finger to apply, and dot your face on the nose, chin, cheeks and forehead. then spread to other parts of the face. If you want to hide dark circles, get a concealer, and use under the eyes first, and use the foundation over it. good luck!

Every time that I have used the little sponges my makeup always comes out uneven and cakey looking. Use a blush brush, seriously. This will give you a very even look, then finish off with a nice powder. The blush brush also makes the makeup stay on longer!!
Make sure you clean out your brush at least once a week if not it could give you acne.

I actually only use a tiny amount of foundation, I don't like the "mask" look, lol. I just get a small pea size amount and put it on my hand and use a tiny brush to cover up blemishes with it. Then I use a powder to finish it off!

I use a little bit of moisterizer so that it isnt so thick and then apply in an upward motion
make sure that the edges are blended well so that you dont have the make-up line.
then apply your powder and then rub your hands over the poser do that it is even
do all of this after you do your eyes that way if you get mascara or something under your eyes you dont have to redo everything

make sure you get a foundation that matches your skin tone, by applying it dab some on your finger and put dots on every section of the skin then even it all out.

You should use a clean sponge. You only need a little bit! Less is more in this situation. You can use your fingers to put it on but they might have bacteria on them. Dab it on your face don't pull or put lots of pressure on it
