Not all of them are! I've known some thin people that no one liked because they were very vain!

Thin people are not all attractive; but what then makes a person attractive?
Aside from height and proportionate body mass (read: right weight for the right height) and hips and breast size, rounded butt, here are what I think makes a person attractive, even sans height and hips and all:
1. Self-confidence, but no over-bearing.
2. Buy only clothes that WILLL compliment your height and weight, etc, etc; wear only clothes that is "you".
3. Choice of clothes, shoes, accessories; the total woman that comes across as sexy and confident and the way she carries herself with it.
4. Put a little make up; at least lipstick. Dont look like what u r when u r in the house. Hell, it will make no difference wherever.

Its all this simple. And this formula can and will, make even a semi / quarter-attractive woman attractive.

Our idea of beauty changes from each generation. Each generation is a reaction from the last. So, I'm sure other people have mentioned, but the voluptious "feminine" look post -WWII is a reaction to the boyish, willowy silhouette of the 20's-30's. I think what is sexy and has been always attractive is a proportionate figure...not if you're necessarily thin. If you can carry yourself well then you're flawless!

Because its what society projects. Throughout history people of all different sizes in different eras have been considered to be the most attractive. During the 15th century very heavy women were considered to be most beautiful. During the Renaissance women with large hips & very small waists were considered most attractive; and during the 1920's "flapper" era thin, boyish-looking women were looked upon as being very attractive, It changes with alomost every decade-

Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby changed the image of attractive women from those of the curvy hourglass figures to the "clarinet shape" that is more popular today. Women were epitomized as thin and athletic (boyish frames) in their short flapper dresses. although the novel is set in the 1920's the slender shape is still popular today as evident on the front pages of fashion magazines.

Our perceptions of what is attractive is dependent on what we are conditioned or predisposed to equate to attractiveness. For instance, the probability is good that I would find you attractive because you are the embodiment of what I am predisposed to see as attractive. However, my Nigerian friend would definitely not consider you attractive because to him thin people are ugly. Accordingly to him, in his town people look at fat people as beautiful and at thin people as emaciated, sickly, and socially undesirable. It appears this perception varies among nationalities and seems to be influenced by degrees of commonality. In America there is a prevalence of obesity so the less obese you are the better you look. In my friend's town, there is a prevalence of malnourished look, so the less malnourished you are the better you look. Of course there are other factors that influences someone's consideration of attractiveness. Nevertheless, you won't be far wrong to consider degrees of commonality as a major factor in determining attractiveness.

I think that fit people look better than thin or fat people. It is the natural shape of our bodies, that is appealing and looks good to others. When you are too thin or too fat, your natural shape does not show.

I'm very thin, recovering from medical treatment, people ever where I go stare at me. Not imaging it, it is true so it must not be so attractive

They aren't always. Too thin is not attractive! A little meat can be good, but not if you're fat.
