Actually, American values DON'T influence the world, as evidenced by the clashes in the UN, the World Court and the existence of the Kyoto Accords.

The rest of the world views the United States as wasteful, deceitful, and adolescent in its behavior. Only entertainment and luxuries are accepted from the US culture, not core values.

American values have mostly negative influence on the world.


There are positive influences in technical innovation, but Japan usually improve on it. Freedom of expression, though it is not as free since Repukes took over the government. Economic or entrepreneurial success is more achievable in the US.

Negatives influence include the overwhelming adoration of celebrity, arrogance, greed, the destruction of the English language, meddling in other country's national issues without an expressed invitation

Indifference to world pollution, a strong leaning toward lies and deception.

America is a modern example of how overindulgence in food and drink can cause illness, laziness and stupidity (most Americans are not as smart other nationalities).

Wanton disregard for wasting irreplaceable natural resources.

Americans have values? oh yeh the value to own a gun, to try to police the world and enter into civil wars that have nothing to with the US, to eat copious amount of fatty fried foods and ignore the health risks, to attack any country that may have something of value to the US, to ignore science and choose religion.................only influence is most educated countries look at the US and then go out of their way to ensure their country doesn't go that way. eg Tony Blair being asked to stand down for following Bush, Australia dying to get to the polls and vote our leader out for following Bush etc etc
