I have seen them every concert since the Pieces of Eight tour (yes, I am THAT old lol), and they have always done a great show. Some tours were better than others, or some shows were better than others simply because they are humans, and every tends to have an off night from time to time.
Their new keyboardist is a good singer, and a decent performer.
As for them charging $$$$$$... I saw them locally playing to less than 2,000 people, and the tickets were a very reasonably priced $25. The band does NOT set the ticket prices... the PROMOTERS set the ticket prices on what they think they can charge to maximize their profit. The band makes the same amount for each show regardless of how many people show up.

I'd rather see Styx without Dennis DeYoung. Tommy Shaw has ALWAYS ben a better singer than him anyway.

hehehe, i recently saw a commercial for a Denis Deyoung concert in my town, and i asked myself "whats the point of seeing him without the rest of Styx"
i'd say no, it will not be the same. save your money, unless you are a die hard styx fan.
