YES. I had to keep a really bad one recently and managed to keep my mouth shut for 8 months until the individual finally announced what was going on. They had expected me to tell so much that they were surprised when people did not know and suspected everyone of lying.

I can but whenever someone asks that I say no and they still tell me anyway. It's kind of like secret insurance. Then they tell lots of other people and accuse you when the one person they didn't want to know finally hears about it.

Unfortunately, I've lost a few "friends" who couldn't keep any secret I told them.
