I know that he thought it best that the public not be subjected to footage of caskets of our fallen soldiers. In keeping with the goal of portraying this as a "sanitary" operation, the president appears anxious to punish CNN for an expose wherein they showed footage of U.S. soldiers right before they were killed.

By removing CNN from Iraq, will this help Bush's support for the war or hurt it? Will citizens rebel or continue to accept the "sanitary" portrayal of the Iraqi war?

Ask the US soldiers what they think of the coverage done by CNN. You might find out they are hated, because they portray the soldiers in a bad light to make their antiwar statements. Talk to some that have been there, that have done good work and right by the people of Iraq, and the thing CNN shows is something that paints the service man in a bad picture.

I am not familure with this event. I'll be back when I find the news report. If they aired footage of soldiers being killed then I say f*u*c*k cnn. They have no right to air footage like that. Think about the families of the fallen soldiers. CNN has no respect for our fallen soldiers or america so I say quit letting them brodcast anything in the United States.

Nobody is trying to ban CNN from Iraq... but Duncan Hunter is a moron for whining about CNN showing that sniper video. It's news, whether he likes it or not... they report the news - good or bad. This is a breath of fresh air when you look at a media dominated by chest-pounding BS that amounts to nothing but government propaganda.

The typtically ignorant Republicans that have answered show that they have no clue what CNN actually showed. It was an insurgent-made video and all they did was report what it showed and they showed the video. Is that wrong? NO. Unlike you republican shills I like to know what is happening to the brave people serving in Iraq. The fact that Republicans only want to hear good news shows that they don't give a damn about our soldiers. These people fighting the war are my generation, I care what happens to them - good or bad - and I want to know about it.

I merely watched her conversing stay a pair of days in the past. She reported of course that she voted against the main up-tp-date investment invoice and needs the troops domicile now. She reported that we performed our objectives, the militia set up a democratic govt. there, and the failures there now at the instant are not our failures. they're the failures of the Iraqi govt. She pronounced we'd desire to leave and permit Iraq restoration its own issues of infighting and civil conflict.

CNN aired a propaganda film made by the terrorist killing a US soldier and by doing so made this a viable tactic for the terrorist to use thereby endangering American lives. The government is in no way obligated to let the press go along with the military anyway, that is a courtesy. So since CNN decided to give air time to our enemies why should we give them access to our troops when it is obvious they will barter for their death.

CNN made the choice and should live with it, I say kick them out. Being embedded with the troops is not a right. Plus freedom of the press does not mean unfettered access.

Sophist, I doubt any of the so called conservatives on here even know that. In there hero Sean Hannity's opinion, the Taliban is the worst regime in history. Funny, that's the very same Taliban that Bill Frist wants to install in the Afghanistan government, lol.

CNN will get the news out of Iraq no matter what Bush does. BTW. Did you know CNN is owned by Conservatives?

I think ALL of the media needs to be removed from Iraq and any other war zone. The general public does not need to know every detail of the operations there. Not only that, the enemy just has to watch American TV to find out our tactics. Send all the media out of there!

CNN showed a soldier being killed. That's wrong. It's bad enough for his family that they lost him. His death shouldn't have been used to get higher ratings for CNN and push their liberal anti-Bush agenda.
