Remember when we were kids (if your in your 40s or older) when someone said it must say made in japan or made in china meant you bought junk or crap. But now the best quality stuff is made in japan mostly and china some. American stuff is usallt crap or poorly made . Take cars , the big 3 road the "buy American" to the ground while producing the worst cars in the world because they knew alot of americans would buy just because it was made here. Or so they thought. Alot of american car parts are made overseas. American producers have to pay more in wages , insurance and comp. So they cut down on quality. Americans are getting tired of buying junk. But we will turn it around. Ford and GM are seeing it now. Toyota is kicking thier butts with dependable and quality cars.

It's called bargain hunting. That's a good old fashion American charism. IF you found something that was American made, especially union made that was of the same quality, the price would be too high. If you found something of equal price, it really would be a piece of crap and you'd complain. Face it, our manufacturing market has been forced to compete in the upper scale, or be priced out of business. That's the nature of the market now.

You've all seen cheap Chinese radial tires on the market. Did you realize that with all of the construction going on in China that they don't buy their own stuff to get the job done, but they buy premium truck tires from an American company? Hmm, what does that tell you? For one, American made still means value and quality, not cheap.

Why don't you ask the American manufacturers why they are having their products made in China? The Chinese didn't go to the Americans and ask for their business, no, the Americans came to China to exploit people to low wages and long hours of labor. I'm all about buying good quality products despite its origins, but it appears that your fellow white Americans don't share the same sentiment about made in the U.S.A. products, they are out there to get rich, not to cater to an individual's patriotism or nationalism.

I buy the best I can for as little as possible. That is the only way that makes sense. To buy shoddy American goods at inflated prices would be not only foolish but would help to subsidize a business that either needs to get its act together or get out of business.

If taxpayers overseas are willing to subsdise their industries so they can sell something cheaper over here thats too bad for them and good for me. They cannot sustain that unless they truly are more efficient.

I've seen a few websites with "made in the USA" products...some responded to emails, some didn't. With the high cost of living these days we can't even afford to buy American made stuff anymore.
