I'm still young, but I wrote this book that's long enough to be considered as a young adult book. It started out as a writing assignment, but I edited it and expanded it into a full-length detailed story. Like I said, I'm still young, so can you please give me it detail by detail? Any prices? What they look for? etc.

@Second Answered: I'm in a city, a pretty big city (Las Vegas). Yeah. I'm actually still in the 8th grade, but I have advance writing and my teacher says she loves the way I put my words together. I never thought she'd be able to help me get a book published, but thank you. =] I will try.

Ok, it sounds like you are still in high school.

When I was in 10th grade, I wrote a short story and won contests with it and eventually had it published. My creative writing teacher helped me alot.

I now have 3 books published and many short stories.

When you are that young. I suggest you get some extra help to get started. Are you in a rural area or a city? If you are close to a bigger town or city, I suggest you check out some clinics.

They are sometimes called simply meetings. There you can find people who will edit your work and tell you what your chances are. And how much changes need to be made. And you can meet some great contacts there!

Just remember to be open to sugestions! Don't get mad if someone rips it apart a bit. Stay true to your own ideas, and realize that some of the time, they may be right!!

Good luck.

Agents won't contact something that's already Published (if it is a professional organization) niether will they post matters which were placed at the Internet. Synopsis's is fine however for those who add chapters then no. Also with self-publishing you have got doomed your self. Your booklet is not getting wherever so that you write some thing else and method an Agent. They wish to understand whether or not you have got any matrerial Published, then they wish to understand whether or not it bought. Yours has now not, they surprise why and wont receive your paintings. You have got to ask why your paintings hasn't bought. Self-Publishing could make or holiday you and really as a rule it breaks you, now you can wrestle to post something along with your History. I are not able to urge individuals adequate to determine each and every angel of Publishing and in my sincere opinion keep away from Self-publishing. Sorry to supply you best dangerous information, however it is not your booklet that wont be permitted however you as good. I are not able to even let you know what to do and you can now not get out of it I'm afraid. I'm now not an Author myself I paintings for the 'Dark Side', individuals should not be so scared of Agents we do not chunk that rough.

Are you lucky ...... Lucky that I read your question. It cost nothing to publish a book at LuLu.com.

To buy your proof copy, before LuLu starts selling it, cost you about 8.00 (eight dollars) plus shipping - Go with USPS Media rate and the shipping will only cost you about two dollars.

I have written 6 books, I regularly went with BookSurge, but to revise or change anything about your book cost $50 dollars and it takes about 4-6 weeks. With LuLu, you can change (revise) any part of your book in about 20 minutes, and it cost nothing.

I can't believe you got so lucky that a LuLu fan read your question.

Some publishers charge 2500 dollars. with no chance to revise.

And best of all, the LuLu books are about 50% better quality than most self pubish companies.

If you don't rate my answer the best ever, then well it means that you didn't give LuLu a try.

I would think that you'd start by contacting a publisher and inquiring as to the necessary steps to get a book published. They'd probably have you submit a manuscript, they'd review it, then let you know. I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
