Only if it's worked on.
Left unattended, love will die and friendship will fade. It takes effort, attention and work.

I may only be 20, but I have friends that I've been very close with for almost my entire life, and see no reason to not have it continue. I've seen my mother have a best friend for over 30 years, and they still get along. Sucessful marriages where people are happy and love each other for their whole lives are more support of that.
So, essentially, yes, I do believe in forever love and friendship.

Forever is a long time, Friends may come and go,
Only forgiveness can overcome, The pain that ails you so..
Right and wrong are in conflict, With each second past,
God has LOVE that never fails, Even when things don't last.
I have seen so many examples, of the question that you ask..
Very seldom are answers the same..It is a difficult task!
Everybody has a reason..a motive for going astray.
No one prevails by hating another, at the dawn of each new day.
In conclusion..yes..I do..Decipher the poem and you will understand.

forever love is the type of love that we all strive for in a relationship. Its not something that just happens like in the movies. Forever love is something that you work at everyday, something that you give your all to. Something that you strive for because you want to, not because you need to or feel obligated to. Incidently, in a poll asking people who were in long-term relationships, one of the most common responses to how they managed to stay together was friendship. So I believe in forever love as long as the two people are truly commited (i mean heart, body and soul) to making their friendship work. Its not about being perfect, its about being perfect for each other. its about give and take and compromise. Its about balance. I've found some one I want to love forever, and we both try with everything we have to make it work. Communication is key, honesty is a virtue. It is definitely possible.
Also interesting is the fact that, even with soaring divorce rates, the marriage your currently in is the one most likely to succeed. It seems that with every 2nd or 3rd (etc.) marriage, the chances of it working go down dramaticly. Food for thought.

Yes I do. However, you'll have to be ready to lose your lover and/or friend for a little while until you can reunite in the afterlife. I do believe that LOVE lives forever in us. But WE won't last forever in our bodies...

Go visit any retirement homes. You see people still married after 70+ years and they will still say they will do it all over again. True, not everyone can say so, but they are the proof it is possible and it happens.

People grow and change. Sometimes you can work through it, sometimes you grow apart. I guess that doesn't mean you don't love or care about each other anymore though.

Of course. If it isn't forever then it isn't really love or friendship.
