I asked this girl out on Sat. while we were coming home from a band compition. I knew she liked me and she said yes. but today (Mon.) while in school one of her friends gave me a note from her saying that she has been thinking about us going out and said she is having a hard time with things right now and she talked to her friends for advise and she should break up with me now. We haven't even gone out together. it was like from 10:30PM Sat. to 8:00AM Mon. not even 48 hours. do you think she still likes me or is this just a nice way for her to say that she decided she didn't like me anymore?

We are also involved in marching band. thet means that we are getting about 5 hrs. of sleep a day and doing school work marching our asses off at 180 bpm for 4-5 hrs. per day. could this have anything to do with her going through a rough time? but in that case I'm in it with her.

I don't get it - she broke up with you and you haven't even had one date? If she's the type of girl that will constantly allow her friends to dictate her life, be glad you found out NOW!

Sounds to me like this girl is more confused about things than you are. Who knows what she is thinking but the fact that she has one of her friends give you the note says that she's either embarrassed about the way she's acting or that she has some kind of insecurity problem or many other things most of which aren't positive things to have in a girlfriend. Unless you really like her a lot I would try to move on to someone who is a little more together in their thoughts and actions. Good luck.

Look, your still in high school, once college hits, every one goes their own way...your lucky you dont get involved now to be hurt later from getting to attached (it happened to me when i went to college 2 hrs away from her). Plus it's petty high school bullshit...and its been 2 days, dont let it get to you at all. And if u really wanna know, ask her over aim or text her(to prevent the awkward silences if necessary). Be straight and real with her and simple say 'wtf was that all about' and if she says i can't do it...understand...deal with it...move on and DO NOT get hung up on this.

Neither your nor she are the "only game in town;" and you're lucky if this is the only time that disappointment in romance visits your doorstep... You'll live to love another day!

It's possible she was nervous about dating you, and was too shy to tell you. It was probably no real reflection on you, but rather her inexperience with dating. Don't be too quick to judge her; rather, take your time, be her friend and see where it leads.

How not? it's confusing to keep track of all details. Don't drown in glass of water. It's easier to start all over again.

Sounds to me like she didn't want to say no to your face, so she is doing it by writing a note. I think maybe she never liked you.
