deja vu is a repeat of the past, so it's probably not seeing into the future.
however, there is a way you could construe it to seeing into the future: history repeats itself. something repeats, and you notice, it'll most likely happen again, so learn from what you see, and take note of what you see twice.

I used to get deja vu all the time, still do sometimes. I had a theory about it once. I used to believe that at the moment we die, we return to the moment we were born and live the same life over, with the opportunity to make the same or different choices. I thought that maybe deja vu are the moments that we have done before in a previous go-round. Not really sure what I believe, but that was a thought I used to have. I think it's just synapses misfiring in our brains.

I have the same experiences quite often. I believe it is seeing the future, in a way, because I believe I have been able to use it to change the outcome the second time around.. I cannot predict which thoughts will happen again. However, whenever I get the feeling of having been here before, there seems to be a point where I can choose "to change" one little thing I do which changes the outcome from the "first" experience to something better.
I do not believe these are actually past events because everything is exactly the same as I remember up to the point where I make that change, And, I never remember the original outcome the second time, but rather a feeling of dread and having to DO something different.
Anybody else have this ability, or am I just bonkers? I just believe that we are given these experiences for growth, for ourselves or others. Once this stuff scared me; now it is a spiritual moment.

that depends. i have many times in my life had dreams that came true either the next day a even months later. it gives you the fealing of a 'deja vu'. knowing that i have had these dreams, when i get that 'deja vu' moment i stop to see if i can remember the whole dream or if i can remember parts of a dream that fit that moment. usually i can.

i have a lot too....but the problem is, you only realize it after the incident....try memorizing your entire day for days until you get deja vu, then it might be seeing the future.

I actually think there are two things happening.
1. Seeing or experincing a similar situation/or anticipated situation. Even on a subconcious level
2. There may be a bit of precog but nothing that is is signifigant enough to change someone's actions.

One dream I had in eighth grade. Walking into my mother's bed room after she came home from work. Looking at a box of deodorant. Colored white and pink. Inside the bottle was clear. Fluid was pink. Than she said "they don't have regular kind so I got this one."
I remember that dream very well, That it happened. I told my mother. She and I got very surprised.
