Only he can tell you what really happened. It sounds to me like he wanted to feel younger and desirable so he went for a younger woman. He may or may not love this new woman.

Hun if he loved u and hurt u after 24 yrs. then u know the answer to ur question. See these days men want women for what they have to offer on the outside and not the inside which counts----the heart. My sympathy goes out to u and I hope a real man who deserves a real woman such as urself comes ur way. Remember that u were not put on this earth to have situations such as these occur. U were put here to be loved and to give love. He is not worthy and u deserve better. Forget him but wish him the best b/c ur blessing is coming. Remember in order to receive blessings mess has to be diposed of!!!!

Weak man. 42 and believes his marriage is fine but needs spice in his life and is too immature and lacking wisdom to work on spicing up his own marriage. No doubt he's feeling the need to be superman since age is creeping up on him so a nice naive teenie bopper who tells him that's what he is will suck him right in.
If you stay with him, he'll probably eventually grow weary of filling the superman role and will want to go back to being close to the one who knows him best - his wife. He'll want to resume being what you two had. But the problem is, based on his lack of character, he'll probably never gain any wisdom from the situation. He'll just flow with his hormonal groove.
Me personally? I'd be so turned off at his weakness and lack of character that we'd be through.

He is in love with the fact that a 21 yo would even want him. Trust me, it does not take long for a man to get over his hurt and/or pain. Especially when another female is there to pu the pieces.

I think he may have said that just to spare your feelings, because he knew he hurt you. Considering the time you were together, he didn't want to hurt you.
I'm sure more bothers you than you say...like his new gf is 21. It's hard, I know. Don't get angry, don't try to get revenge. More importantly, don't lower yourself to try to get back at him. I've been told, the best revenge.....be happy and live a good life!

No he doesn't love her. Its just sex. He is greedy .....he wants his cake and eat it too. Doesn't sound like he is mature enough to appreciate you.
Sounds like he got married way too young and unfortunately is trying to reclaim some of his youth now.
I am sorry. I really hope that you can find your way past this and understand this whole situation is not about you. Its about something he wanted to do.
Don't beat yourself up something he did.

Sounds like this guy is grossly immature and determined to reclaim his youth. Pathetic. It also sounds like a massive mid-life crisis. He's not worth your time - be grateful he's gone and move on.

Midlife...let him go. It's not worth it. When he gets too old then she'll let him go too and then he'll come back. Hopefully, then, you will have found someone so much better.
