No such statistics, proven or unproven, could possibly exist since cell phones are not necessary, unless someone really does a number on the definition of the word "necessary" and puts a spin on it all. God Bless you.

Say you were driving around or someplace without a phone and somebody needed to reach you for something urgent. How would they reach you if they don't know where you are? There are many circumstances when these things happen.
