Take a break! You and your mother should go out for ice cream and not even talk about the costume! (Make it a rule.)

When you are back and refreshed and in a good mood, start to work again. Light a relaxing smelling candle, and make sure it is on the other side of the room so it won't set anything on fire! Play a CD or turn it to a radio station that both you and your mum like. If you are singers, this will put you at ease at help you have fun while working. If you're both working at the same time, make little contests, like "whoever pins the slowest has to wash the dishes tonight," or "whoever gets her part sewn the fastest gets to decide what's for supper."

Remember to thank your mum! (I spent all summer sewing bridesmaid dresses and dance costumes, and it is so much work. Having some recognition is really nice.) Make sure you get a photo of the both of you when you're wearing your finished costume. Perhaps you can put it in a nice frame and give it to your mother for a gift!

RELAX! take some time to do something that you enjoy doing, and take it in steps, little by little, here and there, and then when you think you can complete it, take the time to do it then and there.

BE PATIENT, CONTROL YOUR TEMPER.
ASK HELP FROM ONE OF YOUR FRIENDS , YOU KNOW TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE, THAT WILL MAKE YOUR PROJECT GET DONE RIGHT ON TIME.
