I've heard garlic described as "the food of the gods". It is one of the best things for you. Its an anti-inflamatory, an antibiotic and an anti-just-about-anything-else-you-can-think-of. . . lol. I wouldn't worry. It'll make his breath stink, but you can roast the garlic in the oven and it loses its smell.
Good luck!

I can see nothing where it would harm the child, some little ones prefer stronger flavors, my daughter did, she HATED that "baby" spaghetti in jars, but would chow down on home made pasta, she has loved Extra sharp cheddar cheese since about a year old, I'm talking the stuff that makes the hinges in your jaw cramp up sharp. She loved mexican food from the get go, especially the super spicy chili, the kind that makes grown men's eyes water. Hasn't hurt her a bit, she's 20 years old and a fantastic cook though. Maybe you have a budding chef there.

No milk under age 1 only applies to milk. Most agree that cheese and yogurt -because they are broken down by bacteria are safe sometime before age one with opinions varying between starting at 6 or 9 months

Other than giving him ninja death breath, it's probably fine. Garlic is generally good for you.
