Because it's kewler to spell it that way. Eeh . . .that word looks disgusting when an "er" is added to it. I don't know, some people are not satisfied with the way words in the English language are spelled and they wish to correct them.

i think it may be because KEWL is pronounced differently like this: (ke-ule) and COOL is pronounced (c-ooo-l).
It could also be because thats just the way they wanna spell it, like a fad.
