I take it you mean....forcing a team to kick a field goal. That just means the offense could not get into the endzone...in which case the opposing defense basically forced them to kick a field goal.

I think its when the kicker kicks the ball out of field goal range or what he can make.

Umm...I don't believe there is such a term as "Forced FG" in the sport of football. You may want to re-phrase your question...
