why doesn't NASA land some of its spacecraft, for instance, directly in the CYDONIA region?

INVESTIGATION OF CYDONIA COULD ONCE AND FOR ALL REMOVE DOUBT ABOUT SUSPECTED ARTIFICIALITY OF CERTAIN OBJECTS IN THAT AREA. AND COULD ALSO SHED LIGHT ON POSSIBLE FORMER CIVILIZATIONS OF MARS.

costs too much money right now. and lack of technology to sustain the robots that land, energy wise

Cydonia is populated by dust filled craters and boulder fields. The only sure way is a manned mission and no-one wants to foot the bill for that one.

I believe it's a handicap parking only area.
