Say, you are a type 2 diabetic. If you let it take it course, and don't be mindful of it you might not last very long.

But if you're around like minded people, educated, and learn all you can, you can beat it if you put what you learn into action.

Same with almost anything, I think. My Grandfather lived to be 79, at that time they said a son would not outlive his father, but my Dad is 89, he learned enough to undue the effects of the genetic pattern, see?

Eviromental factors ? I don't think you can really alter your genetics but you can enhance them and perhaps where you dwell is one way. Everything always comes back to money. Can you afford to live in a decent neighborhood, say where you have room to grow, spread out live how you want to live while being real to yourself and being the best you can be. I,m nor wealthy, I,m not even middle road but I can't change my genetics but I can alter things about me physically and mentally to make me a happier, better human being and isn't that whats life all about.
