Stepped up to end injustice while knowing from very early on that he was endangering his life and the lives of his family. Never backed off from questioning racism and hatred, never gave up on the courage of his convictions, gave speeches that were so profound that they still are relevant today, was a brilliant orator and preached non-violence.

He went about it in a peaceful manner. I have huge respect for that! There is a great children's book called Martin's Big Word's. I highly recommend it!

I believe he was a kind, thoughful,and careing man. I am glad he did what he did for everyone.

the fact that he actually made things happen. and changed US .Despite his personal issues...he was a major mover and shaker for his time.

First of all because blacks and whites can be friends.He was also brave to stand up in what he believeed in.
