that sucks. A friend of mine died about 6 months ago, about 6 months after her overdose, the last 6 months were a horror show!

My condolences, it really sucks. By the grace of God, I've found a new way to live.

A very good friend of mine, who was a jockey here in Australia,we used to ride against each other died about 8 years ago of a overdose. It hit me pretty hard, because my girlfriend of about 5 years slept with another jockey and that cracked me up big time.I lost everything even my beautiful son. When Lee overdosed I just went down the tube big time,I starting smoking pot real heavy, and then started to get suspended from race riding which was costing me lots of money. Now these days I'm one of the leading jockeys in the town I live in and things are going excellent.

I am 33 years old and live in the appalachian area. Around here in these mountains and small towns, there is nothing for young people here to do, so they turn to drugs and alcohol. In which turn they grow to be older addicts like my age. I have lost so many of friends and old schoolmates in the past 10-15 years that I couldn't count them all on my fingers and toes. It's such a shame that people go when it's now their time.

Unfortunately, sadly, yes :( quite a few. Our town is infested with Heroin and crack dealers. We are a small town in between 2 popular cities and they flock here.

I was frightened I would lose one my best friends last week from an overdose on her own medication.

It's scary imagining it, and I can't imagine how you feel. I'm sorry.
