No. 'Wit' is mostly the use of rhetoric and 'Intelligence' is...undefinable really... but generally 'Intelligence' is associated more with proving knowledge or wisdom. There is a little crossover between the two. However, although most witty people are usually reasonably intelligent, most intelligent people aren't always witty.

I don’t think so. In the contexts that I think you asking the question in that is. To have a lot of WIT is to be resourceful, like being street smart. An example would be the hairs on the back of your stand up. Intelligence is something that you know is false due to learning.

Not really, intelligence is more of how much you know. Wit is more like cleverness.

Hope that helps!

Two people were chipping ice at work. They had been at this for about 3 hours... A couple of us came out for a break. One of the guys who came out at the same time as a friend and I, started going off about how they should be chipping the ice. He grabs one of the chippers, and starts chipping the ice. My friend makes the remark, "When you are done with that there is some white wash, and the fence needs painting". I burst out laughing at the Sawyer reference...
My point is my friend gave a good example of wit, and I was intelligent enough to catch it...

No, but they are closely related. Intelligence is the ability to understand and learn. Wit has more to do with cleverness or quickness of thought/perception.
