I work 12 hr shiftsin an ER and coming to the phone is letting everyone know my business. I want to keep in touch with my kids at all times, I need a cellphone service that is cheap, easy to use for the kids, and possibly comes with three phones (one adult, two kids) to contact me anytime. I am a single parent so cost is the most important matter in this situation. If you can't think of a cell phone service what is the next best thing. We already use walky talkeys but they are bulky and not very private and don't work over a certain amout of distance or in certain buildings.

I have Verizon with three phones and we can talk to each other for no minute charge including long distance which is nice if you have to travel a lot. The extra phones are only ten dollars per month.

Most of the major cell phone carriers offer a family plan. Price wise T-mobile has the least expensive plan. You can get 3 lines 1000 minutes a month for $59.99 plus tax. With that phone plan you can talk to any other t-mobile customer for free. So talking with your kid uses no minutes. The only downfall will T-mobile is that there is no roll over minutes. T-Mobile is also good if you have less than perfect credit you don't have to pay a deposit. If you sign up online you can get a better deal on free phones than going into the store.

Cingular is okay in price but I personally have had nothing but problems with there customer service.

The one thing you will have to watch out for is some cell phone providers don't work very well inside and in some areas. So if the purpose of using the phone is to use it inside where you work then you might want to see what other coworkers use and if it works well. There is nothing worse than signing a contract and getting no signal.

Any cellphone service will cost around the same ammount each month.

I think all the major companies, cingular, verizon, and sprint allow you to talk to your family for free. (your shared minutes are not deducted when you call a number from a cell phone on your plan to another cell phone on the same plan)

You should buy a "family" plan. It comes with a certain amount of shared minutes, and 2 lines (you will need to add a 3rd line for 9.99 a month added to your bill) Yes, i think its dumb that a FAMILY plan only comes with 2 lines :/ but whatever.. thats how all the phone companies work

My family has sprint. we are not too happy with it.. when our contract expires, we probably are going to switch to verizon. Also, at leist where i'm from, most people have verizon. So, i think for $5.00 per month added to your monthly bill, you can call any other verizon user and it won't deduct from your shared minutes.

Cingular has roll over minutes too, so any minutes left over minutes that you don't use in one month will be accumulated to your minutes on the following month. other companies dont do this.

i swear i don't work for this company. that being said, if you don't do a lot of moving around, and just want a phone that works
locally, try the cricket phone service. it has unlimited minutes,
to anyone, no long distance charges so you can call anyone
in the u.s. (and as far as i know, not Alaska). the price is fixed
at a reasonable (51.95 a month for my area, maybe more or less
in you area) and i can receive and call without being concerned about minutes at all. you do have to get their phone, and they will give you one month free (in most places).
check them out, i have used them for years, and never had a problem.

I honestly have a motorola rizr z3. T-cellular sevice. i like my telephone, it could carry alot of songs, that's stable cuz i like track. Takes great %.. i like the variety, its a slider. it extremely is kinda falling aside, the buttons are falling out. It ain't my fault, they used some form of sticky substance to hold down the navigational button and the middle button to the telephone. the middle button is someplace, who is conscious? i will do without that. do you recognize what share cases the navigational button has long previous lacking? I might desire to tear down the area to seek for the piece of button! T-cellular is costly, i do no longer know approximately different centers. T-cellular is all i know and that i cant look ahead to my settlement to end. My rant is over now lol
