Democracy is not an option because of the dicipline of the Islamic religion and the hatred of the majority of the Muslims towards Americans in particular.

As much money as they can make before they go home. This war isnt about democracy. Why would a civilization 5000 years old need us to show them democracy? We dont even have it here in the US.

At first, I thought it was about the oil....But then some recent research says it's about the water....Iraq has too rivers, The Degla River, and the Forrat River
Remember, the upcoming war is The Water War, and since the USA is aiming for controlling the world, it's trying to control it from all aspects and sides

I'm under the impression that Iraq is just another step in the plan to start world war 3. So they probably would not be happy with anything less than it leading into a nuclear world war.

victory would be permanent military bases, control (or partial control) of the oil and defence contractors to be built there to gain a profit off this war.
