The best prevention for AIDS which appears to come from advanced HIV infection is no sex with people who might be infected (use a condom if not sure), never share needles and avoid contact with bodily fluids such as blood or pus from those who might be infected with the AIDS or HIV virus. These are short term solutions.

Long-term solutions would be to focus primarily on finding a vaccine that would work for HIV. This is much better than finding drugs that prolong life for AIDS patients, as that only enriches drug companies as it spreads the disease faster (infected people living longer, infecting even more people).

Africa is where AIDS originated. There is some evidence that using monkey blood and other bodily fluids to create vaccines and blood products for humans may have caused an accidental 'crossover' a few decades ago of a disease that originally only affected monkeys. There's no evidence that sex between humans and monkeys has anything to do with the spread of the virus to humans.

We did a whole unit on aids last year in school. To treat those who are already sick they can give them pills. These pills will help to repair some of the white blood cells that aids whipes out. When it has whiped out enough white blood cells you become at a huge risk of getting sickness and disease. Aids does not kill you but the diseases and sicknesses that you get after you cant fight them off kill you. The pills prevent this from happening for a matter of time.
So many people in Africa have aids because they dont know anything about it. People in the US have been warned about it and take precation. Since people do not have any money they think it is useless to get tested for aids so they pass it on to others

no cure for aids
solutions is to just be helpful and understand that u wont contact aids with just a handshake...it's an std, meaning sexually transmitted disease, meaning u need to have sex to get it.
it started with monkeys....only logical explanation is someone screwed a monkey then got aids, then screwed someone else and passed it on....weird...
