No, it's not made of unpasturized milk.
And no, it's not real cheese.
All cheese manufactured in this country is pasturized. By law.
The only time you'll get unpasturized cheese is if you are able to obtain certain imported cheeses (they are specialty cheeses, and not something you're going to buy by accident).
And Kraft uses "pasturized processed cheese food product" -- the same stuff found in Kraft singles -- not actual cheese.

The powdered cheese in Kraft Dinner contains pasteurized cheese as well as a number of other chemicals and preservatives. I suggest you read the label carefully to determine if there's anything unsafe for pregnancy. Still, it won't hurt if you have some once in a blue moon.

I like to cook the noodles a little under the coking time and also add a splash of milk to it, not the 1/4 called for... and yes, butter of course :) Turns out great everytime!

something that processed is surely pasteurized. the point of pasteurization is to kill any potently bacteria something like milk could contain. the cheese is processed to such a level that bacteria will not survive...although keep in mind mac and cheese is high in sodium and fat...its not healthy.

It's safe to eat while you're pg. It's been processed and it's in dry form. When I was pg, I would take the dry cheese stuff out and put it in my popcorn. Yummy!
