I would like to buy an ipod, but don't know how to figure out what I need,?

I want to be able to download music, but I don't know how to tell the difference or to decide how much I need. I don't want to buy anything too small and reqret it as soon as I buy it, but I also don't want to buy more than I need

listen to the song a few times and make sure you love it. If you sort of like it don't buy it!
