Other living can have obesity. The only difference is that other creatures tend to not over indulge and they also get adequate exercise. We have been acclamated to living on couches and not getting very good nutrition.

One word: McDonald's. I'm kidding, but really. Humans are obese because they eat too much, or too many fatty things. They don't get out enough, they don't exercise. Other living things don't go by McDonald's very often, lol. & they also mainly work for their food & they don't eat things loaded with MSG, which is something that can make your body not tell you it's full & you can just eat & eat & eat. Hint, it's in A LOT of stuff that we Americans eat. By the way, I've had my own health issues & weight problems & I'm correcting them so I'm not trying to bash anyone. It's not like I haven't made those mistakes & don't know what I'm talking about in that department. Anyways, I hope you find your best answer!

Humans aren't the only creatures that suffer obesity. Many cats and dogs are obese. Read the article I linked.

you mean like pot belly pigs or elephants?
or do you think every species should have members of Overeaters Annonymous amongst them
a
Rhinocerous is a very large animal
why do you suppose that is?

The obvious reason is that the animal kingdom doesn't eat proccessed food
Human beings will line up to stuff proccessed dead meat into their gullets and pay money to do so

if you actually take a good look at the state of things on this small blue planet the question would answer itself

I've seen many domesticated animals, pets that are fat. Wild animals stay fit because they don't have a continuous supply of food like we do. They have to hunt for their food, some like crocs and large snakes may only eat one big meal in a month.
Others like giraffes and antelopes eat constantly, but the leaves and plants they consume has low nutritional value, or takes a long time to digest.

...Well first of all, we have McDonald's and stuff.. i.e. plants only have nutrients and squireels & other animals are LUCKY to find even SOME food... if we fed mcdonald's to animals, yeah, they'd be obese too.

Also, a tiger only has to eat once and it won't need to eat for the rest of the week. Cool eh? Yeah, and because animals eat only wht they need to cuz food is precious to them.

I don't know about that. I have a cat who is pretty fat, and I don't force-feed him, either. On the other hand, he's domesticated. He doesn't have to hunt for his food. And he's really lazy, too. Sort of like a human being. I guess that explains it.

Animals have an amazing metabolism and they eat only what they need. Unlike us. We pig out all the time and get little sleep.
