I think some kids in my High School are going, but I just want to go for the candy. Plus, I won't go once I get a job (as soon as I turn 16 in 4 months). Is it ok, or just babyish?

Enjoy it. I would if I didn't have school that night, I'm 19 but I look 16. I would so go out to trick or treat... who's crazy enough to pass up free goods. You should go out and have fun. Your friends are probably too stuck up or can't find good costumes themselves. Babyish... nah, more strategic. Don't let other push you towards desisions based on your life... you be the boss and you decide. A job on the other hand... you have to abide by the rules if you wanna keep working.

What do you mean, you just want to go for the candy?. Is'nt that the reason children go Trick-o-Treating in the first place?. What does it have to do with you getting a job?. I think you should stay in school full time and still go Trick-o-Treating. You've got some growning up to do.

Oh My Gosh, that's just weird that hardly anyone goes trick or treating at your school. Before I thought it was kind of lame, but after a while I remembered how great candy use to taste =) I think I'll go if I don't freeze by the end of the night.

Free candy is good no matter how old you are. The last time I went Trick or Treating I was like 18. Now I just go trickin'.

It's fine. You are only required to stop when you turn 18. You're totally within your rights. I went as a HS junior and senior. Of course for the candy, and the night atmosphere. Go ahead.

I dont really think its ok. I think you should go with a neice/nephew or other child friend of your family and have a little of their candy. I know my kids can NEVER eat all theirs and need the help. Or just buy yourself a bag of mixed candy or pass out candy and eat some.
If you do go...have fun...

I dont think its babyish at all. Go and have fun, your still young enough. You'll know when its time to stop and you wont wanna go. There will be a party or something of the like you'll want to go to instead. Have fun and go!!!!!!, it might be your last time, who knows.

Whenever kids your age come to my house trick or treating, I give them last year's leftover candy.

I keep two bowls. One for the children, one for the kids old enough to get a job and buy their own candy.
