Generally they wont take it for NO reason. However, even if you say that you are not pregnant they will still take one if you are about to have any type of special procedure done. They do this because some women might not be aware of the fact that they are pregnant and the doctor doesnt want to take any risks of harming the baby.

They usually have a reason, I know that I have had a LOT of tests. I have been to the ER many times, and each time they do one, so the medication they give you won't affect anything. There are some antibiotics and other meds, such as pain meds that can affect an unborn child. They have to protect themselves too!!

Doctors take a test for a reason. So the family could het the bad or good news, howe ever they want to take it. Sorry but I dont really understand your question.

Most Dr's will take tests depending on what you go in for. If you're pregnant, they can't give you certain meds. And it helps them rule other things out. Most Dr's will also test your urine with a dipstick when they do a pregnancy test

Im not sure why your asking but i dont think so. They take them before doing any other tests. If in fact you could be pregnant they would know so as not to perform certain tests. They dont want to do anything to harm the fetus. Its a precautionary measure.

They have to know beyond a shadow of doubt so they can prescribe the appropriate tests and medicines. Certain testing procedures and medications all can affect a fetus, sometimes causing birth defects.

NO! Most times they want to test before prescribing meds or to rule out other causative symptoms such as nausea and vomiting which is a very common symptom to many diseases.
