My boyfriend, whom I had known for 15 years became very abusive. I stayed with him for about 7 months after he "changed." I tried everything I could to make things better, but they only got worse. My entire household fell apart! He is now in prison for what he did. I feel really terrible for my children, because they have lost their father. However, through this experience, we have grown. I have learned to trust my feelings, and that I cannot change a person. My children and I also live a better life now...our house is not in an uproar, and they are learning what family values truly are. We attend church, and we are much closer. Though we went through a horrific experience, I can say that it was a blessing in disguise. Had we not gotten out when we did, who's to say what our lives would have ended up like? It has been said that God works in mysterious ways. My children know that what he did was wrong, I have faith that through seeing what happened to our family, they willl not allow or do these things when they become adults.

When I first found out I was prgnant, I was devastated. I thought I had ruined my life. Now, I could not live without my 16 month old son. He has made me realize that life isn't about hgetting high and partying all the time. It's about truly loving someone and doing everything you can for them. it's about staying up all night watching "Shark Tales" over and over. He has drastically changed my life for the better and I am so happy now. So, yes something I thought was horrible actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Yes! Getting fired from a job I was struggling in and no good at. Made way more money at the next job and it was a better fit.
