how does this affect my hearing i do not have a lawyer

You still have a hearing. Now, you are on better, more equal footing since both of you are unrepresented. Depending on the judge and if one of the partys requests it, the judge will be likely to continue the hearing; especially if the matter is very important.

Bottom Line: you have a hearing. Show up!

Make sure this is a withdrawal! Not a continuance. Attorneys do this all the time to those who represent themselves. It's a mean and evil tactic but unfortunately legal.

YOU should show up anyway for the hearing -- it may be postponed, it may not. So be there JUST IN CASE the court STILL wants to hear the case.

it just means more time before the next court date
