A true American is someone who is actively fighting the war on terrorism. The rest of you are a bunch of cowards who will end up killed by the enemy who number in the billions and who are willing to die for their cause. In World War II, the country all pulled together and everyone did his or her part, from little kids collecting newspapers, to families raising victory gardens, and especially the young men and women who were willing to die for what they believed in, and did die so that we could have the great country we used to live in, before it was taken over by a bunch of fat, lazy, stupid people who don't deserve it.

You can look at this one of two ways. A true American is an ignorant fool, who is selfish and believes that the US is the only place to live and who cares what happens anywhere else. Or you could see it as a true American lives in the US and has a true love for this country. (You could develop the 2nd one into other sub categories as well.)

I, as an American, believe that there are many different definitions of the true american. There is little red haired, american - bore, freckled Jimmy. That's one of them. There is also the native Americans, because they were here first. Then there are the people that truly believe in justice, pursuit of happiness, and all of the other things that america values. Then there is the fat computer lard..
