here's an interesting quote from Herman Goering, a high ranking nazi officer:

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
-- Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials

The ambiguity of the 'war on terror' is a control technique. The conservatives used it in the cold war for political leverage as well. They create and enemy that only they can see and only they can beat.

Truth be told, the terrorists are a threat that must be dealt with. But they aren't as great a force to fear as some would have us believe...tick,tick,tick,tick....

Oddly, this same thing was happening in Britain to the exact opposite effect. This was the lesson of "when good men do nothing". Life requires choices.

To start, simply, you are not qualified to decide if our nation goes to war or not. I think it terrible that someone would compare the united states of america officials to Nazis. Do what you likes, its your right to question but i beilve thats a horrible way to think.

Unless of course you aren't serious. I hope thats a fact.
