how much will an ounce of iron cost me?

the price is probably about $100 a ton. $100/2000 = $0.05 a pound. about 1/3 cent for an ounce

It's free if you look for it. Try a rock that has iron in it, meaning almost ANY rock. Or did you mean "pure" iron? If so, look for a meteorite.

Iron is very abundant in many rocks.
