i want to learn how to do a trick shot i think its called an english shot the ball is suposed to go one direction the turn without hitting anything
any advise on how to do it

as you already ask its called a masse. you come down on center of cue ball 90 degree angle and please dont hit the table it will tear the felt good luck

hit the ball on the top just off center

yes, you have to practice. but usually hitting it below the center makes the cue spin backwards. if u hit it on top, it goes forward.
