It's an antique! Women used to think they needed to rinse out their vaginas, and they had these things that looked like hot water bottles with a hose on the end to squirt water (usually with vinegar added) up their privates. Now we know that the vagina is self-cleaning and douching is really unhealthy, but 60 or 70 years ago people thought this was a good idea. And it probably added to the incomes of doctors who got to treat the resulting infections. And maybe it helped control the population because women sterilized themselves with this garbage by getting really bad infections.

Well, before there were disposable douches, women had their own personal douche bags at home. Seriously. They filled them with water and vinager to clean their vaginas.
