i own a repair shop,and i know for a fact that a lot of different heat shields Will fit it,i have had the pleasure of doing this before,but if you cant find an exact match there are a lot of different ones that Will bolt and clamp around it ,you can also get one of the ones that mount on the bottom of the floor board t o better help keep the heat away from the floor of it,i used one off a new model t-bird ,and it worked real good on an expedition,and it was a 95 model expedition,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

The heat shield from any Ford truck of that frame should fit. 1997 might not be too late to get one from the dealership. (They normally stop stoking parts after ten years.) Or, you can try LMCTruck.com.
